White House Meeting on Post-Crisis Planning

On May 11, 2020, the Director of the High Technology Park, Altynbek Ismailov, participated in a White House meeting with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sooronbai Jeenbekov, discussing the country’s post-crisis economy plan. At the meeting, Altynbek Ismailov shared the current situation of the IT sector in the context of the pandemic and the preliminary report of the HTP activities for the first quarter of 2020. Compared with the previous year, the revenue of the HTP residents sought an increase by 15%. The Director of HTP emphasized the importance of information technologies in overcoming the effects of the pandemic and made a number of proposals for the development of the domestic IT sector. In addition, Altynbek Ismailov spoke about the educational initiative “EdTech - a new reality in education” launched in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic. The virtual event-series are aimed to further digital learning and to introduce both students and teachers to relevant programming technologies and other related disciplines.
