The International Scientific and Practical Conference "Science Tech - 2026: Ideas. Innovations. Future" Was Held in Bishkek

Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan — The High Technology Park of the Kyrgyz Republic (HTP KR), together with key technological and scientific partners, successfully hosted the large-scale International Scientific and Practical Conference "Science Tech - 2026: Ideas. Innovations. Future." The event, which took place on September 18, 2026, at the UNexus Hub, brought together leading scientists, international experts, business representatives, the startup community, and government agencies to discuss the synergy of Artificial Intelligence (AI), DeepTech innovations, and STEM education.

The conference opened with the performance of the Ernis Asanaliev String Quartet and welcoming addresses from key figures in the technological and scientific sectors. Welcome speeches were delivered by Bekmamat Djenbaev, President of the NAS KR; Academician Asylbek Aidaraliev; Alexandra Solovieva, UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic; and Azis Abakirov, Director of the HTP KR, who emphasized the strategic importance of AI and human capital for the digital independence of Kyrgyzstan.

Global Expertise and Panel Discussions

The Science Tech - 2026 program featured three thematic panel sessions dedicated to building a scientific and technological ecosystem, commercializing scientific research, modernizing STEM education, and the role of AI in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Recognized industry leaders served as moderators and speakers: Almaz Chanachev, Director of EPAM in the Kyrgyz Republic; Oleg Puzanov, Co-founder of Mad Devs; and Erkhan Adaev, Director of AI Academy and Co-founder of the EdTech startup Euler.

Keynote speeches were delivered in a hybrid format by world-class experts, including Asel Sartbaeva, Co-founder and CEO of Ensilicated Technologies Ltd (UK); Nick Haber, Director of Global Partnerships at Certiport - a Pearson VUE business and Chairman of the Global Digital Literacy Council (USA); as well as Shamil Ibragimov, Research Director at the Kuo Sharper Center for Prosperity and Entrepreneurship, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Awarding Winners of International Olympiads and Their Coaches:

The award ceremony celebrated the young talents of Kyrgyzstan. HTP KR, jointly with the Organizing Committee for Competitive Programming represented by Artem Belyaev, awarded cash certificates to school students who won international olympiads, as well as to their mentors and coaches. The total prize fund amounted to 80 (eighty) thousand US dollars.

The leadership of the High Technology Park emphasized that these young people shape the future intellectual potential of the country, and supporting their coaches, who invest immense efforts into training world leaders in competitive programming and exact sciences, is an absolute priority for the state and the IT industry. In addition to cash certificates, the winners and their coaches received commemorative gifts, exclusive HTP KR merchandise, and valuable professional literature.

Startup Battle and the Triumph of the "Dive into Shenzhen" Project

The conference hosted a technological battle where young scientists, researchers, and students presented their R&D intensive solutions. In the EXPO zone (2nd floor of UNexus Hub), attendees could explore cutting-edge domestic developments firsthand.

The culmination of the startup block was the presentation of results and the awarding of the winners of the prestigious "Dive into Shenzhen" competition. The best technological projects that demonstrated high potential for commercialization, scalability, and the use of DeepTech/AI technologies received a unique opportunity to travel to Shenzhen (China) — the world capital of hardware innovation — to undergo acceleration, find investors, and scale their businesses globally.

The event concluded with a festive buffet dinner and a classical music concert in the Grand Hall of the IUK. The "Science Tech - 2026" conference once again confirmed Kyrgyzstan's status as a dynamically developing IT hub in Central Asia, capable of consolidating science, business, and advanced technologies for a confident step into the future.

Signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation with Pearson Education Ltd.

One of the key events of the conference was the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Cooperation between the Executive Directorate of the HTP KR, represented by Director Azis Abakirov, and the global educational giant Pearson Education Ltd. (UK), represented by Certiport Business Development Director Nick Haber. This agreement is aimed at the long-term development of digital technologies and STEM education in Kyrgyzstan. Within the framework of the partnership, the parties will join forces to develop digital skills, introduce globally recognized professional certification for personnel, support the startup ecosystem, and strengthen ties between the local IT market and global institutions.
